Delete Your Account

1. About This Page

This page explains how to delete your Hudukey account and the data attached to it. Hudukey is the riders' app published on Google Play and the App Store by Trayis.

There are two ways to ask for deletion — from inside the app, or by email if you can no longer sign in. Both remove the same data.

Deletion is permanent. Once the account is closed we cannot bring back your rides, clubs, photos or stats, and there is no undo.

2. Delete in the App

This is the fastest route. If you can still sign in, use it — the account closes immediately.

1. Open the Hudukey app and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab and tap the Settings (gear) icon at the top of the screen.
3. Scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap Delete Account.
4. Read the confirmation, then tap Delete.
5. You are signed out straight away and the account is closed.

If you have unsettled ride expenses

One thing will stop a deletion: shared ride costs that have not been settled. If you have unsettled ride expenses, the app shows an error and the request is refused.

Settle what you owe — or ask the rider who owes you to settle — and then try again. If you cannot close it out in the app, email us and we will help.

3. Request Deletion by Email

Use this if you have uninstalled the app, lost your device, or cannot sign in for any reason.

1. Email contact@hudukey.com, ideally from the email address on your Hudukey account.
2. Use the subject line Delete my account.
3. Include the phone number registered to your Hudukey account. We need it to find the right account.
4. We will confirm the request with you using the phone number or email address held on the account. This step protects you — it stops anyone else deleting your data.
5. Once confirmed, we delete the account and the data listed below.

We acknowledge requests as they arrive and complete confirmed deletion requests within 30 days. If we cannot confirm that the request belongs to the account, we will tell you and will not delete anything.

If the account has unsettled ride expenses, we will let you know so those can be closed out first.

4. What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted we remove the following:

• Profile: name, email address, phone number, city, bio, blood group, profile photo
• Garage: the vehicle records you added
• Rides: your ride history and your RSVPs
• Clubs: your club memberships
• Photos: images you uploaded
• Ratings: ratings you gave
• Emergency contacts: the SOS contacts you saved
• Reminders: the service, insurance and document reminders you set
• Notifications: the push notification tokens for your devices, so we stop sending you notifications

You will no longer be able to sign in, and the account cannot be recovered.

5. What May Be Retained, and Why

We keep as little as possible. A few things can outlive the account, and only for the reason given:

• Unsettled ride expenses: where shared ride costs between you and other riders are still open, we keep the minimum record needed for everyone involved to settle up — retained only for as long as necessary to close those amounts out.
• Aggregated and anonymised analytics: counts and trends that no longer identify you and cannot be linked back to you. These are not personal data any more, so they are not deleted.
• Crash diagnostics: crash reports are processed by Google Firebase Crashlytics and are held under Google's own retention schedule, which we do not control.
• Legal, tax and fraud-prevention records: where Indian law requires us to keep a record, or where we need one to investigate fraud or abuse of the platform, we keep it for the period required and no longer.

Where a retention period is fixed, it is set out in our Privacy Policy under Data Retention. Anything else is retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose above, and is then deleted or anonymised.
